Sam Naughton - Founder & CEO
Sam is the Founder and CEO of Cocoon and the driving force behind the clinic's vision, values and long-term direction. She leads the strategic development of the business, ensuring Cocoon delivers proactive, preventative healthcare that combines clinical integrity, thoughtful service design and a deeply human patient experience. Since launching Cocoon, Sam has focused on creating a healthcare environment where science-led diagnostics sit alongside calm, compassionate care.
Kate Ward - Clinic Director
Kate oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring Cocoon's services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard. Her role sits at the heart of the clinic, bringing together operational leadership, clinical governance and team development. Kate brings extensive healthcare leadership experience and a calm, credible presence that helps set the tone for excellence across the organisation.
Dr. Adam Culverwell - Medical Director
Dr Culverwell provides senior medical leadership across Cocoon's services, ensuring that all clinical care is delivered safely, ethically and in line with best clinical practice. He plays an important role in shaping Cocoon's preventative healthcare model, helping ensure innovation and service development remain grounded in evidence-based medicine and patient safety. Through clinical oversight, governance leadership and mentorship of clinicians, Dr Culverwell helps maintain the high standards of care that underpin Cocoon's reputation.
Ben Naughton - Digital & Systems Lead
Ben leads the development of the digital infrastructure that underpins Cocoon's clinical services, diagnostics platform and future growth. His role focuses on designing and implementing systems that ensure patients experience a seamless journey — from booking appointments and ordering diagnostics to receiving results and follow-up care. His work ensures that digital systems, data insights and operational workflows evolve alongside the clinic, enabling Cocoon to scale responsibly.

Dr. Claire Seddon - General Practitioner
Claire leads Cocoon's GP service, providing a broad spectrum of non-acute medical care while supporting the clinic's growing focus on proactive and preventative health. Working across both general practice consultations and comprehensive diagnostic reviews, Claire provides clinical interpretation of results, medical guidance and ongoing support. Claire's approach centres on thoughtful, patient-focused care — ensuring every individual feels listened to, supported and confident in the decisions they make about their health.
Kate Mortimer - Clinical & Safeguarding Lead
Kate leads Cocoon's midwifery services, supporting families throughout pregnancy and the early stages of parenthood. Alongside providing antenatal care and guidance, Kate is responsible for the development of Cocoon's antenatal education programme and oversees safeguarding within the clinic. Kate is passionate about helping families feel informed, reassured and confident throughout their pregnancy journey.
Abbie Durrant-Milnes - Midwife & Lactation Consultant
Abbie is an experienced midwife and lactation consultant who supports families throughout pregnancy and the early months after birth. She specialises in infant feeding support, helping parents navigate the often complex and emotional early stages of feeding with confidence and reassurance. Abbie is passionate about ensuring parents feel informed, supported and empowered during the early months of parenthood.

Gemma Ingles - Advanced Practitioner Sonographer
Gemma is an experienced sonographer with more than ten years of NHS clinical practice in ultrasound imaging. She has a particular interest in gynaecological scanning and brings a high level of technical expertise and clinical judgement to her work. Gemma is known for her calm and compassionate approach, creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable, supported and confident during their scan.
Penny Pickering - Advanced Practitioner Sonographer
Penny is an experienced sonographer specialising in obstetric ultrasound, with a strong background in providing high-quality imaging and patient-centred care within the NHS. Penny combines clinical expertise with a warm and supportive manner, helping patients feel relaxed, informed and confident throughout their appointment.
